Multitouch Piano sound sculpture, interactive installation.
Here's an unusual sculpture of the shape referring to the piano. Touching its surface you liberate sounds obtained exclusively from the inside of a real instrument (Petrof Grand Piano). There are some common sounds everybody immediately associate with classical sound of the piano - these we liberate touching the sculpture in the place we're expecting a keyboard. But most of the sounds open the sound space, which is much less known. This space is created by the instrument's strings struck by various objects, detuned, rubbed, prepared, by percussive sounds of the soundboard and the steel frame of the piano. Even the pedals and leg's wheels can serve a different role than usual. Sometimes funny, sometimes scary, sometimes lazy, sometimes energetic - sounds hidden beneath the surface of sculpture, released by touch, creating the unique forms invite us to study them, to play with them and... to make some music.
