Allegretto distruttivo Interactive lecture "Can you make music out of broken sounds?"
Lecture entitled "Can you make music out of broken sounds?" tells about unusual sounds used in contemporary music, in particular about sounds that result from various kinds of destruction. An example would be the sound of breaking glass or playing a broken instrument. The use of this type of sounds is one of the most evident indicators of the difference between classical and avant-garde music. The lecture is a kind of introduction to selected issues of contemporary music, but it is not only a theoretical introduction. In the second part of the lecture, we start a joint performance of a specially prepared piece "Allegretto distruttivo". We find out how much musical satisfaction can come from creative spoiling and destruction.
The premiere took place as part of the cycle of lectures at the Children's University in February 2020 in Olsztyn Title: Can you make music out of broken sounds? Lecturers: Jarek Kordaczuk and Izabela Kościesza // Wytwórnia Zddarzeń Sonokinetycznych
