mySoundSpots soundtrack from a film related to the ecology of sound
The project was created in cooperation with a group of young people. They use short films to show, in a disguised way, personal sound spots. Their micro-movies are the building blocks from which the sound narrative was created to describe our audiosphere in an artistic way.
Procedure
In the soundscape that surrounds us, we are looking for sounds that we consider especially "ours". Those to which we are attached, perhaps for reasons we only know, and which define us in some way. Our sound spots can be related to specific places in space-time, but they can also, for example, be accompanied by some constant activity or be created ad hoc as a kind of individual means of expression. With the help of short films recorded on mobile phones, we show personal sound spaces in a camouflaged way. By weaving our sound places with the results of analogous actions of other participants, we create a kind of sound narrative that express current audiosphere in a musical maner. It expresses us in some way, but also reflects the "sonic" spirit of the times.
The project is financed by the Self-Government of the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship.
