mySoundSpots/Outdoor soundtrack from a film related to the ecology of sound, edition 20221
The second edition of the project related to the ecology of sound, was created in cooperation with the mySoundSpots youth group. They use short films to show, in a disguised way, personal sound spots. Their micro-movies are the building blocks from which the sound narrative was created to describe our audiosphere in an artistic way.
Assumptions for the 2021 edition
The mySoundSpots project was born on the initiative of teenagers. We managed to implement it with great success in the difficult year 2020. The extremely valuable benefit of the project was the possibility of active self-realization of young people in the work on its subsequent stages. And then there were questions from the participants about the continuation in the next year. Like it or not, a material documenting the social aspect of lockdown was born, and the fact that young people were locked in their homes left its mark on the content of the mySoundSpots film. The vast majority of the clips created at that time showed the world stuck inside four walls. In the next edition of the project (2021), young people show the outside world. We pay attention to the sounds accompanying us during walks, trips and journeys. Many of them stand in our daily path many times. We usually don't notice them. This time we stop, we notice their uniqueness, even beauty. It turns out that the very process of recording sound aesthetizes it to a large extent. Then we are happy to add it to the collection of our favorite things.
