Young co-performers of "Generator Y" read colors from previously prepared images (graphics) by placing chromatophones on their surface. In this way, these images become a source of rhythmic loops constituting the rhythmic canvas of the piece. Changes in the structure of these loops are made on the basis of reading the composer's instructions contained in graphic symbols displayed on the screen. The conductor of the chromatophonic quartet, Izabela Kościesza, helps young performers to read them. In the bridges (transitions) between the main sections of the piece, she becomes a performer who releases the sounds and shapes their course with the help of two cirklotrons held in her hands. These are in fact gyroscopic and accelerometric sensors which readings of parameters are converted into musical events. Naturally, the main and the most colorful "generator" of sounds here is the orchestra weaving various (often non-standard) articulated sounds into the rhythmic structures carried out by electronic tools.
